Swimming is a great all over workout and is one of the best workouts to strengthen and tone your body and it is fun!
Our team of qualified lifeguards aim to provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere to encourage people of all ages from babies to adult to enjoy a range of swimming activities as well as encourage confidence and safety.
So why not splash out in our aquafit class or swim a few energizing lengths in our casual swimming sessions? We also run a number of women only, men only and adult sessions.
We also have some women only swimming sessions.
Our pool is particularly suitable for people with disabilities as the pool has warmer water and a gentle ramp into the pool. Find out more about our disabled facilities.
Why not bring children along to our range of swimming sessions especially designed for kids these include, swimming lessons, parent & toddler sessions and family swimming sessions.
If your children lack confidence in the water then why not enrol them into our swimming lessons? We run the nationally recognised ASA swimming scheme.
Swimming lessons for adults
The lessons aren't just for children but we also offer women only lessons where we guarantee not only female teachers but also female lifeguards - this will only ever be breached in the case of a serious Health & Safety issue.
DABS - Disabled and Able-bodied swimmers
Every Monday and Thursday from 8.15pm - 9.15pm our pool is rented out by this fantastic group, and if you want to swim at this time you will be welcomed into their group by their co-ordinator Brenda. You will of course be expected to pay, as they pay for their pool hire fees using entry fees, but they only charge £2 per session. In exchange for their very reasonable entry fee you will be expected to lend a hand if any of the disabled swimmers need any assistance getting in/out of the pool. If anyone is interested in joining this lovely group please contact us first and we can pass your details onto Brenda, or turn up in the centre at about 8pm on Monday or Thursday evening and ask for Brenda at our reception, our staff will put you in touch with her.
