These interactive classes will teach your child the basics of water confidence in a fun and engaging way. We use songs, games and activities to keep your child interested.
Our instructors will tailor activities to your child’s abilities and needs.
Our pool at Zest is run at a higher temperature to ensure you and your child are comfortable in the water.
Our Duckling awards give the opportunity for your child to work towards a colourful badge and certificate. Ducklings 1 will see children start to move by themselves in the water, blow bubbles, be comfortable with water over their heads and learn how to rotate. By Duckling 4 they will be jumping in, going underwater, floating and travelling safety through the water independently.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and all equipment will be provided.
We use songs fun games and repetitive play patterns and water toys to help them learn, providing a fun engaging environment for young children. Blowing bubbles, kicking, floating, in a safe and enjoyable way.
Each group lesson lasts for a duration of 45 minutes.
Just turn up and pay at reception. We run throughout the year, except for Christmas week, which means you can still enjoy your class during most school holidays.
The NHS advises that you can take your baby swimming at any age. Here at Zest, we recommend that you wait until they have had their first injection. If your child is older, it’s always a good time to start!
We take children for group lessons once they are five years old as they will not have a parent in the water with them and will have the discipline to follow instructions and be comfortable with others in a group.
