Dementia Friendly Services at Zest
A dementia-friendly community is where cities, towns, villages and local businesses and organisations support people to live well with dementia, helping them remain independent for longer.
Zest is part of a city-wide network of community organisations working to help local people to improve their health and wellbeing. Within this we have a particular focus on supporting people with Dementia to enjoy activities at Zest, which are tailored to their needs.
We are committed to making the Centre and surrounding areas* Dementia Friendly. If you would like a chat about how to make your local community group or organisation Dementia Friendly please get in touch with our Dementia Services Coordinator, Trish – 07543 796 782 or 0114 2702040 / health@zestcommunity.co.uk
Trish can help provide advice and signpost you to information and other activities and services. Trish is not a medical expert or counsellor, but will do her best to help you. If she can’t answer your question, she can put you in touch with someone who can.
*Our dementia services cover the following areas:
Netherthorpe, Upperthorpe, Walkley, Hillsborough, Middlewood, Wadsley, Loxley, Crosspool and Stannington.
