Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of people in Sheffield? This role could be for you.
Community Health Champions are volunteers whose role is to support people to eat healthily, be physically active and improve their mental well-being, and so help to improve the health of people in Sheffield’s least healthy communities. This volunteer opportunity provides you with useful skills, knowledge and experience, and training is also provided.

Zest and volunteers have been running the library since October 2014, keeping this vital community resource open for the public.
We are looking for volunteers to join our growing team.
What jobs will volunteers do in the library?
- Be on the desk and deal with customer queries including issuing new cards, fines and book reservations
- Keep shelves in order and put books back on shelves
- Using the library computer system to manage book stock
- Support customers to use the computers
- Plan and prepare themed displays of books
- Support events and visits e.g. children’s activities, school visits, book groups etc.

We are developing a partnership with the Real Junk Food Project for our cafe.
They are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the café which is based in the Zest Centre

Our youth groups for 11-19 year olds run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings

Would you like to help us run our groups for children and young people? Do you want to gain some work experience supporting children?
We run a variety of after school and evening activities for children and young people including after school activities, youth clubs and homework support.
We are looking for volunteers to help us deliver our termtime and holiday programme, build positive, encouraging relationships with children and young people and support us to expand our work into the community. You don’t have to have worked with children and young people before but you will need a positive, enthusiastic approach.
We are looking for volunteers to support with the following groups:
- Children’s homework club
- Children’s sports sessions
- Art and craft activities
- Holiday family fun activities
