Dear Friends and Customers,
As you may be aware, our main boilers failed earlier this week, leading to closure of the swimming pool and loss of heat to the main building.
We have now agreed an installation date of the 18th November which will trigger the reheating process for the pool in the days that follow. This lead in time is required as the boilers are not ‘off the shelf.’
We will update you on progress once the work commences to provide a more definitive pool reopening date.
Between now and then, we will be beginning work to decommission the current boilers and looking at options to install a temporary boiler. If this is feasible then we will be able to reopen sooner.
I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding and apologise sincerely for the continued inconvenience. We have been really grateful for the supportive comments and gestures received to date.
As a small community business and local charity, it is a constant challenge to keep this much loved community asset and facility open, and this closure presents a real set back. Rest assured we are working hard in the background to secure the future of the Zest Centre and bring in the investment it needs to thrive.
