Public Swim Lane 1
All public swim sessions should ideally be pre-booked as a maximum of 7 people are permitted in any lane at any time. Lane 1 is the lane closest to the pool entrance and access to this lane is via the steps in the deep end. Please arrive 1 or 2 minutes before the session is due to start – no earlier as we need to avoid people gathering together.
You must arrive “beach ready” which means with your swimwear underneath your outdoor clothing. There is NO access to changing cubicles on arrival, anyone arriving without their swimwear on will not be able to swim and refunds will not be given.
On arrival onto poolside you will remove your outer clothing, place it in a bag and put the bag on one of the hooks on poolside – ensure it is not touching anyone else’s bag.
Swimmers must swim in a clockwise direction only in this lane. If unsure, please check the arrows on the wall at the side of the lane.
Please ensure that you keep a 2m distance from the swimmer in front of you.
No stopping permitted in the lane, if you tire you must exit the pool and stand on poolside away from other members of the public and staff, when you re-enter the water please ensure that social distancing is observed.
At the end of the 45 minute session you should exit the pool, observing social distancing, collect your bag and change into dry clothing using one of the open cubicles – please don’t remove tape from any of the closed cubicles, they are closed to ensure social distancing can be observed.
Please note that showers are NOT available at this time – water to the showers has been disconnected until we are able to offer this facility again.
We would appreciate it if you could vacate the changing area as quickly as possible to give our staff time to sanitise the area again in preparation for the next group of customers using it.
We realise this is a lot to take in, and a lot of rules, but everything is done to help keep you all (and our staff) safe from the virus, thank you for your understanding.
