Children's library

Upperthorpe library is based within the Zest centre and houses a large number of books for children.  A variety of books are available ranging from board books for babies to novels suited for young people.

There is a designated area for children within the library where they can come in and read books or even complete their homework in a quiet environment. Books can also be hired out.

It easy to join the library, children of any age can join and all you need to do is fill out a form with the child's details and bring to the library reception with some form of ID.

The library also holds a number of events each month for children. These are:

Storytime Every Monday from 10.30-11.30am
Everyone is welcome for an hour of books, rhymes, songs crafts and toys for babies, toddlers, pre-school, parents and carers

Babytime Every second Monday of the Month 10.30-11.30am
Share books, rhymes, songs and toys. For babies, toddlers, parents and carers.
