Zest_logo_fWWe can provide a friendly and professional service tailored to your needs. We have skilled and experienced advisors with the know-how to listen, understand and help you access the right employment, training or volunteering opportunity. We will work with you to understand and address the factors that may be preventing you from accessing employment or training. These factors could relate to housing, childcare, debt, qualifications, interview skills, work experience, confidence or health.

 

How can Zest help me?

Based at the Zest Centre, we offer a range of free support services to meet your employment and training needs:

 

Training Support

  • employment1-2-1 support and skills assessment from a qualified advisor
  • Employability and ITC training courses
  • signposting to training courses, for example ESOL, Vocational training
  • Support with childcare and direct funding for courses

 

Employment Support

  • 1-2-1 employment support tailored to your needs
  • Action planning and regular review of your goals
  • Careers advice
  • Signposting to specialist support services, for example, debt support.
  • Interview skills, job search & job application support
  • Work placements
  • Continued support when you are ‘ in work’
  • Better off calculations

 

Working Well

Do you have a health condition but would like to get into work?  We can help you to manage your health condition and to gain employment. 

Would you like support to get back into employment? If you have a health condition but would like to get back to work, we can support you to do so. This service will offer you 1:1 guidance and information from an employment coach, personal action planning, access to a health trainer, a 6 week training course ‘Steps to Excellence’ and intensive employability coaching.
Cost: free

 

Work Club

  • Online IT facilities
  • Support with interview skills, job search, CV building & completing applications
  • The Zest Work club is held 4 times per week: Tuesday 9.00-10.30am, Tuesday 10.30am -12.00noon, Thursday 1.00pm-2.30pm and Thursday 2.30pm-4.00pm.

 

Volunteering

  • Signposting to a range of volunteer placements
  • Opportunities to volunteer at Zest
  • Support and guidance while on placement
