Sheffield Sport in the Community

Sheffield Sport in the Community is a new initiative aimed at providing communities across Sheffield with the opportunity to take part in sport and physical activity. Disadvantaged neighbourhoods throughout Sheffield will form Community Sport Clubs which will compete at monthly Sport Festivals. Children will be provided with expert coaching, gaining skills in a variety of different sports.

Zest are fully in support of the program and have developed a new Community Sports Club. The Upperthorpe (ZEST) Lion’s will provide high quality experiences and opportunities, with all sessions delivered by qualified sports coaches. This HUB club will look to create greater opportunities for local children to take part and succeed within sport.

Initially the club will cater for both boys and girls aged 8- 11 years.
