Fit club is a weight management programme which looks at changing eating habits and lifestyles, providing recipes for healthy eating, information on nutrition and encouraging exercise.
The weekly meeting consists of a support and discussion group followed by some form of exercise. Who is fit club for?- Are you overweight?
- Have you tried all the new fad diets?
- Have you joined Slimming clubs before which have not worked?
- Do you feel tired most of the time?
- Could you be eating a more healthy balanced diet and exercising more?
- Are you unsure of the healthy benefits taking part in physical activity and eating a
- balance diet?
- Do you want to meet new friends?
- Do you like trying new recipes and cooking healthy meals? Then Fit club may be for you!
Fit club is run by qualified fitness experts and Sheffield West Primary Care Trust Dieticians who are here to motivate and give you professional help and lead you to healthier lifestyles. The team here agrees that better health needs to suit your personal lifestyle. So we take the most to help and encourage you to work towards your own goals and rise to the challenges. Fit Club is open to people with a body mass index of 30+. We Can Do It!The good news is that there is something that we as individuals can do. We can overcome or prevent weight problems. We can change what we eat, learn how to eat less, eat better and be more active in simple ways in everyday life. What should I expect?- Fit club is a rolling program which consists of 12 weeks of planned physical activity and healthy eating sessions.
- You are able to join at any time and will be given an initial assessment/Induction by one of our fitness team.
- A support pack is given to new joiners which gives you information on how to lead a more healthier lifestyle , different ways to be more active and tips on how to eat a more balanced healthier diet.
- We try a different type of exercise each week so that you can find something you like!
- You will also be given your own personal exercise program that suits your own needs and ability.
- We are able to cater for those wishing to join with medical conditions, or mobility concerns, GP referrals are also welcome.
Fit Club Maintenance Every Wednesday's 5.30-7.00pm This group allows you to continue your new strategy in leading a healthier lifestyle, helping you to maintain any changes that you have made during the last few weeks as well as giving you new ideas and resources to challenge your daily routines. You must have previously attended fit club sessions before joining this session
