Hazel Findlay's determination to set up her own business has impressed everyone at BiG: Make It Your Business. When she first approached BiG about producing decorative mirrors and stained glass, Hazel had already been to view the business premises she had in mind.

BiG helped Hazel with business planning, training, getting access to a computer and design equipment, and provided her with support in developing her website.

Hazel says: "Glasswork has always been a passion of mine and I previously worked as a stained glass designer. I heard about BiG through a friend and approached them for help.

"The best thing has been being able to pick up the phone and ask them about anything that I've need help with. They've been fantastic from the start.

"My business is going really well and next I want to expand the company so that I can employ some staff and give back to the community. In the future I'd even like to open up more branches of my business across South Yorkshire and the rest of the UK."

Hazel has received continued support from her Neighbourhood Enterprise Champion, Rob Murray, and her BiG Business Advisor, Luqman Jimoh. They have both been in awe of her determination and passion for her work.
